Try Earth Balance! It is a dairy free butter substitute that works great as a butter replacement. If that is not available I’m sure there are other butter substitutes that would work as well. I hope you can find one that works for you…

As someone who is completely allergic to dairy, I was excited to see that you’d marked this recipe as “dairy free.” However, I see that it calls for 1/2 cup of butter which is very much a dairy product. Too bad, I was looking forward to trying it!

Just found this on Taste Spotting! I’m so glad, because it looks excellent (I just made pumpkin pancakes the other day–so I’m all for pumpkin in the summer too). Can’t wait to dig through your blog–it looks great.
