So, I’ve been stalling on writing this post. One, because I have been having some delightfully lazy days hanging out with my family. Blogging, along with any other semblance of routine, has flown out the window. Two, because I’ve been seeing lots of blogs with year-end “top 10 of 2010″ types of posts. These are all well and good but I’m not usually one to follow the crowd. Heaven forbid I do what everyone else is doing. Then again, they may be onto something. It is kind of nice to have closure on the year, and it’s fun to look back over moments, events, and gastronomic discoveries that have happened over the past year.
So, I give in. Here are the top 10 most frequented posts of 2010. I hope you enjoy looking back on them like I did!
Banana Raisin Bars with Browned Butter Frosting
Chocolate Covered Peppermint Cookies
Chocolate Kissed Gingerbread Cookies
Crispy Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Pumpkin Bread with Browned Butter Glaze
Dulce de Leche Cheesecake Squares
Whew…that was fun! Makes me want to scoot into the kitchen and whip something up. Chocolate Cobbler anyone?
One thing I have noticed is that by looking back one is also encouraged to look forward (deep, I know). I am looking forward to some pretty big changes in my life…such as meeting a new baby in July! I’m also looking forward to creating some more sweetness here on Becky Bakes. What are you looking forward to this year?
Happy New Year!!

Hi Becky! Thanks for following my blog! Our families are so similar! Congrats on your little one due in July too.
Your blog looks delicious enough to eat – yum! I’m going to add you to my reader too!
Thanks Catherine:-) Looking forward to talking to you again sometime!
YAY!! I’m so excited to hear that you are preggers! YIPPIE! Congratulations, Becky – I’m so happy for you! Now, I’m going to go get a snack…your blog makes me hungry! I bet my snack won’t be as good as your yummies here, but I think I’ll make the blueberry baked oatmeal in the AM!
Wow! Everything here looks delicious. Makes me really hungry.:)

Hi Laura- Thanks! We are excited! Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas. Mmmm…blueberry baked oatmeal. I must make again soon!
Glad you gave in to the blogging trend because all of your 2010 creations look so fabulous. I look forward to seeing more of them throughout 2011.
I think my favourite would have to be the Banana Raisin Bars with Browned Butter Frosting. Such a unique recipe! Plus banana and raisins are two of my favourite baking ingredients. Anyway, Happy New Year to you too!
Thanks Brittany! The Banana Raisin Bars are one of my faves as well. They are so unassuming in appearance that the amazing flavor really comes as a surprise!
