Light and Fresh Summer Fare

I am so not feeling like baking right now…which is really odd for me and somewhat discouraging since I still want to keep up with this little ole’ blog project of mine. I’m not even quite sure what to blame for my lack of baking zeal. My ever expanding pregnancy waistline probably has something to do with it. Watching the scale creep gradually upward is somewhat disheartening…even if it is for an admittedly noble, and adorable, reason! I’m also having difficulty standing for long periods of time…due to that previously stated adorable reason, so my kitchen fun is sadly limited.

So, in keeping with the season (as well as my burgeoning self), Becky Bakes is going to be focusing more on light and fresh fare for the next several weeks. Of course, I can’t promise there won’t be an occasional indulgence thrown in…you’ll have to wait and see;-)
