I didn’t have a post for you last week. I was way too busy baking! We went to visit Grandma and Papa. Whenever we go there I bake every chance I get, which usually means daily. The magical thing about baking there is that the entire treat is almost always gone within a day (thanks to lots of family and friends in and out)…leaving me no choice but to bake again the following day. Heaven forbid we be without something sweet to munch on. One of the recipes I had been dying to try was for these peanut butter bars. This was hands-down my favorite recipe of the week.
These were so, so yummy! Who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate and this is the perfect balance of the two. They reminded me of peanut butter cups, only better…because they’re homemade. They are also totally easy to make! And much harder to share.
Peanut Butter Bars
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs*
- 2 cups powdered sugar

I’ll have to try this recipe. My husband loves P.B and chocolate together so I’m sure this would be a family favorite too.
Are you back home now? We’ll have to connect again soon and have you over to our place.
Blessings,
Krista
Wow! These were so easy to make. I whipped them up in less than 20 minutes and I crushed my own Graham crackers. My boss loves peanut butter almost as much as her children. I’m taking these to her tomorrow to butter her up before asking for a few extra days off;-) Thanks for sharing!
Hi Annie! You should have no trouble getting time off with these babies!
This is such a great recipe! I just threw it together in 45 mins – course I was grinding the graham crackers myself and making my own icing sugar. (I have a corn intolerance.) I only had round pans at my disposal – so an FYI it makes enough for 2 x 8″ round pans. ^.^
This is a fantastic recipe! (I also thought I’d let you know each time I use a recipe from your site…just so you can know you’re missed).
We really do love this recipe, though – a new family favorite!
You are so sweet Nancy! I’m glad you’re still enjoying the recipes:-)
