Tuesday Temptation – Vitamix

August 14, 2012

I am forever coming across recipes on the web that look sinfully delicious. Problem: there is never enough time to whip up everything. The sad, but true, story. I know that some of you get that—I’ve seen your Pinterest boards!

I also come across products once in awhile that I would just LOVE to have in my kitchen! So. I thought it might be fun to do a little feature each week featuring products that are catching my eye, or recipes that are making me drool. Fun, right?!

I have just the thing to kick us off. This week, I actually caved to temptation and bought a Vitamix! Oh, happy day! I have wanted one for so long. I struggled with spending that much money on a blender but we are really enjoying it so far. It helped to hear how much many of you love your Vitamix blenders. Thanks Facebook friends!

So without further ado…here is this weeks Tuesday Temptation!

Drumroll please…….

The Vitamix Professional Series 750 Blender

Isn’t she bee-ay-u-tee-ful. In the end I ended up going with the “go big or go home” mentality of my hubby and splurging on the best. It helped that I had a Williams-Sonoma gift card from a dear friend to help out! I love this machine. As I type, I’m eating hot, creamy red pepper and potato soup that this baby whipped up in mere minutes! I’ve had this thing for 3 days and so far I’ve made smoothies (no chunks, thankyouverymuch), soup, and sorbet. LOVE. Another big plus? It cleans itself. Sigh. It really is love:-)

Wow, I am so glad that you got the Vitamix! We got ours with wedding money from William’s Sonoma and I have also been in love ever since!! My favorite thing to make by far is smoothies, but I don’t totally feel like I have even began to explore the full repertoire of what this machine can do!

I know! It’s crazy how much it does! I got a huge cookbook with mine and I’m excited to try lots of different recipes with it. Making soup last night without even turning on my oven was ridiculously cool (literally)!
