Little milestones (plus a giveaway!)

September 10, 2012

I fell off the recipe wagon a little bit last week. Of course, that doesn’t mean I wasn’t still thinking about all of you! Sometimes I get going on so many other things (kids, homeschool, cleaning) that not a whole lot of baking gets done. Back in the kitchen soon though…fall baking is calling:-)

Becky Bakes reached a fun milestone last week! 1000 Facebook fans! I love sharing my love of food with you all. It means so much to me that you make and enjoy the recipes on Becky Bakes.

Soooo, in order to celebrate I thought we should have a giveaway! Fun right?

First, I have to show you my birthday present! That I received waaaay back in February (from my Mama!). I meant to show you sooner but time just got away from me! Look how cute these are…..

These bags look like they were made just for me! Well, I guess they sort of were since my mom had them monogrammed with Becky Bakes:-)

So let me give you a little backstory here. A couple of years ago my sister-in-law Amanda started selling Thirty-One products. Um, that pretty much sums it up! I have Thirty-One stuff coming out of my ears…and I LOVE it! I have been totally happy with every purchase (or gift!) of Thirty-One. I have luggage, purses, a wallet, tote bags, and thermals. I’m not kidding. I’m crazy about Thirty-One!

Who is ready for the fun part?! Sweet Amanda said that she would love to give a Thirty-One gift certificate to one of my readers. The gift certificate will be valued at $31 (of course!) and you can use it on anything in the Thirty-One catalog! Cupcake thermal anyone?

To enter:  Giveaway has ended. Congratulations Cara!

Go check out the new fall catalog and then leave a comment telling us which Thirty-One item you would most like to get your paws on!

Want an extra entry? I’d love to know what your favorite recipe on Becky Bakes has been….or which one you’d most like to try. Shout it out (as an additional comment) for an extra entry!

Winner will be announced Thursday September 13th. Good luck!

Congrats darling although I know you will reach 5000 super duper quickly! As far as what caught my eye it would have to be the little wristlit purse there are times I don’t want to drag my big bag and that would be perfect! Thanks so much for the chance.

Ellie Augustin September 10, 2012 at 8:22 am

Well you know that around here your famous Choc Chip Stuffed Oreo Cookies recipe is the super duper hit around here! School just started last week & I already was asked when would my 1st batch would be made!

Minnesotamom September 10, 2012 at 8:57 am

What a fun giveaway! Since we are in the process of doing a room up for my daughter, that’s what is on my mind, so I am loving the oversized storage organizer. Perfect for the clothes that won’t fit in her tiny closet. :)

Minnesotamom September 10, 2012 at 8:58 am

And like Ellie, I have become somewhat famous for toting around the Oreo-stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies (and I like the cookie part of it so much sometimes I just use that for my plain CC Cookies). That’s because you made me pick ONE.

I just love the skirt purse. I think it’s so great that you can change the look of your pure without acutally changing your purse! Great idea :) The recipe I’m sure to try is the jalapeno popper grilled cheese sandwhich. I think it would be so good with some tomato soup on a cool fall afternoon.

I would live to get my husband the XXXI Messenger bag for him to use for all his work stuff. He’s asked for a bag for Xmas and I think this would be perfect. As far as recipes go, we LOVE your sloppy joes around here, baking wise The pumpkin swirl brownies are delish!

What an awesome giveaway. I would like the timeless wallet or the Little Expressions tote. The recipe I most love is the Brownie Cheesecake Bars…those two go hand in hand . Yum!

I think I would get the retro metro tote. Sooo cute.

Theresa September 10, 2012 at 12:15 pm

The organizer shoulder bag would be my pick. Does that mean that I might be organized? Doubtfully, but there might be hope! And how to pick a favorite recipe? I don’t know, but one we have really enjoyed is the ice cream cake. We have had lots of fun with that one!

Tina September 10, 2012 at 4:30 pm

I could really use a new purse, maybe the retro bag? But there’s a lot there, so who knows what I’d actually pick. :)

Tina September 10, 2012 at 4:31 pm

Hmm, fav recipe, well the whole family really liked the Chocolate Cobbler, so I’d have to say that one.

I haven’t made it yet, but I have my eye on rice pudding with roasted butternut squash.

Charlotte September 13, 2012 at 7:05 am

Congrats on all your fans! I love the large utility tote. With three kids, that could help a little with my organization! The recipe I would love to try is the Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookie…..mmmmmmm! My favorite cookie is a chocolate chip, and it is very hard to beat an Oreo! I have recently had some GI issues and have been eating gluten free. I love all your GF recipes! Thank you!!

Heather September 13, 2012 at 5:11 pm
